Islands of plenty: a photographic journey of French Polynesia

A journey through the islands and waters of French Polynesia provides abundant natural beauty – both on land and sea.

Everyone loves to watch an incredible sunset but when you have the chance to witness one in an exotic corner of the world it is truly something special and an experience to remember.  From the white cliffs of Santorini, Greece, to the bronzed beaches of Bali, Indonesia, some locations, however, appear tailor-made to watch the sun take its daily dip below the horizon.

In a search to find the best ones, the team at Lensbest, surveyed a number of travel journalists in over 46 countries around the world to get their opinion. The Journalists were asked about the best spot to view a sunset in both their home country, as well as in those they’d visited around the world. They were also asked to pinpoint the best season to view it in.

According to the report some of the travel experts chose sunsets that they had viewed more than twenty years ago, which goes to show just how much of an impression a sunset can have.

“Every one of us is able to recall where and when we saw the most spectacular sunsets of our lives… we hope this study serves as both a reminder of those memories, as well as travel inspiration for those looking for their next must-see sunset destination,” said Ling Fan-Montzka, managing director of Lensbest.
